Board Certification
A Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics has gone beyond the endodontic specialty education and licensing requirements of  the American Dental Association and the state board examinations. To obtain this board certification, the endodontist must pass a comprehensive written examination, present numerous case histories with follow up examinations that present diverse and complex endodontic problems, and pass an oral examination given by the experts of endodontics. It generally takes from 5 to 9 years to pass the examination and become board certified.

Board certification means achieving the highest level of knowledge and skill possible, to continue pursuing new knowledge and experience, and to understand and apply new research in the field of endodontics. This is done in order to perform the highest possible quality of care for the patient.

Going through the process of board certification allowed me to be tested by a panel of experts and to show that I received excellent training in the endodontic program at The Ohio State University School of Dentistry.
